Audi A4 rivals worlds most admired BMW 3 Series in the UK but are it somehow better than the BMW 3 Series?
When it comes to the competition between ragging bulls of the
automotive industry, German brands especially BMW and Audi come first and there
are many models by both automakers which are actually influencing the UK market
by large. Both automakers have ultramodern power units to offer with their
vehicles e.g. Audi engines in
the UK offer extreme stats in all fields from power delivery to fuel
economy, torque generation to carbon emissions, everything is ultimately
controlled and calculated to beat the rivals like BMW 3 Series in the market.
Now it depends on the buyer’s behaviour that how he is planning to have their
vehicle and what body does he like? E.g. the buyer would go for an estate, a
saloon or a hatchback etc. Audi A4 is a hi-end sports saloon and just like BMW
3 Series, most of the times it wins the chance to be bought in the UK.
The latest model of the Audi A4 was reproduced and redesigned last
year and it would get mid-life renovations and refreshes soon. 2017 Audi A4
offers extreme performance and powered by an ultimate list of technology
gadgets at the same time. There are gadgets like driver assistance system, to
help the driver in his driving skills by giving him comprehensive information
about the terrain and surroundings of the vehicle.
2017 Audi A4 Changes
The all new A4 has been absolutely refined model with a redesigned
interior and many other outer shell changes. All these new changes have helped
the Audi A4 to beat its rivals in the market and it has done so. Outer shell
and body looks almost same by large with minor tweaks but the interior has been
totally rebuilt with well organised looks, top rated materials and extra spacious cabin
welcome you inside the car.
The performance has been refined as well by refreshing the engine
and powertrain for utmost performance with more performance gadgets. Where all
the performance gadgets are not optional this time, Audi has introduced many
gadgets as standard.
Audi A4 engine
According to the engine experts, Audi A4 2.0-Litre TFSI Quattro is one of the most refined
models to have and it is powered by a turbocharged 2.0 litre recondition engine. The Quattro technology has been
offered on the vehicle and it is capable of generating 252bhp at 5k to 6k
engine rpm. A hefty amount of torque starts flowing from just 1600 rpm and
reaches to its peak of 273lb-ft when the vehicle reaches 4500 rpm. This is an
impressive power to torque ratio. All this power then transferred to seven
speed automatic transmission which takes only 5.7 seconds to attain the
benchmark speed of 62 miles per hour. You can say under six seconds to reach 62
mph.
Being a powerful enough engine, it has relatively better fuel
economy, it makes 25 miles per gallon in the dense and busy city traffic while
cruising on the motorway, it easily makes above 30 miles per gallon and thus
the average remains between 27 to 28 miles per gallon.
In the aftermarket of Audi engines, there are hundreds of garages
and Audi specialists in the UK from where a reconditioned Audi A4 engine can be bought with supply and fit, so
no problem in the aftermarket as well.
On the other hand, if we compare this Audi masterpiece with BMW 3 Series same spec
model, there would be some interesting stats to see.
Both models have same engine with same
transmission and body layout, so things have gone neutral here, the A4 takes
advantage over the 3 Series in power output and torque. 3 Series is a bit swift
on the road than A4 while fuel economy advantage goes to A4 again. Price wise,
A4 is a bit expensive than 3 Series.
